Fruit & Cream Layered Salad

I was hosting our monthly Mommy/Tot Prayer Group and wanted to make something healthy and yummy.  Oh my gosh was this yummy. I even put it on top of my pancakes (and didn't use butter or syrup)

It is so easy to make too.  All you need are your favorite fruits. 


 I used fresh Strawberrys on the bottom layer


Fresh Blueberries




A layer of the topping (I'll post the ingredients for that too)

Then Red Grapes (because the store was out of green)



And Mandarin Oranges



and one more layer of topping
(you can add sliced almonds but I didn't have any)



and this is what it looked like the next morning. 



Topping:
3 oz pkg cream cheese,softened
8 oz carton of strawberry yogurt
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
2 c frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/2 tsp. almond extract

I used organic or natural ingredients when I made mine.  The whipped topping had no hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup in it.  So tasty and healthy. Let me know if you make it and what you think.

First Post....

This is my first post.....I could sit here an tweak my layout for hours, no days.  I'm a perfectionist.  So I thought I better at least get a post up and I can always go back and tweak later. 

I pray all the time and ask God "How can I be your Light that others will see".  God has been telling be to "blog". I'm not a writer. But I can tell a story through pictures.  And I love taking pictures.  Especially of children.  I love taking natural pictures. Capturing the smile of someone that isn't posing and is just being themselves. I hope you enjoy my journey.  And please share your thoughts with me.
